Phlebotomy

Description

The Phlebotomy Program is a 200-hour NAACLS-approved program. You will learn the basics of collecting blood specimens by venipuncture and by skin puncture. The phlebotomist is a major player in the field of laboratory medicine. The diagnosis of a patient is dependent on the quality of blood specimens collected by the phlebotomist. Graduates will complete the program with the skills to go to work immediately as an entry-level phlebotomist and will be eligible to take a national certification board exam.
